Meet Esam - an inspiring soul from Gaza who illuminated our lives with his strong spirit and profound wisdom about love, life, and resistance. In light of the current assault on Gaza, Issam and his family have lost their home, joining many others who have been affected by the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip and have become displaced. We, friends of Issam, are on a mission to support Issam and his family through this blog so that the voice of the people of Gaza remains loud.
I would always cry after such a phone call, but her voice today is stronger than before. Perhaps that has to do with her returning to her home in Al Shuja'iyya after months of displacement in multiple locations. Her powerful voice made me feel powerful. Because of her I am writing now.
